Tall Version of Venus and tall Venus bundle is already available!

AVATAR:http://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=12123984
BUNDLE: http://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=12137123
Another pretty good news is that IMVU seemed to fix the bundle pricing bug, or at least attempted to..
It used to be that if you happened to own a product included in a bundle, you were charged for it when you bought the bundle.. But now, according to my sales reports, you should get charged a difference, not full price.
Say, if you own one of my avatars and then decide to get a bundle later, you’ll be charged only the difference in price between avatar and bundle, which is usually 1-5k depending on the avatar..
but.. I also tried testing it a bit different way. First i tried purchasing a posepack, which costs 20k and is more expensive than the bundle.. so technically if i bought the bundle I shouldn’t get charged anything if not get refunded lol, but i’m guessing this is where it gets confused and I got an error message and couldn’t complete check out at all. The only way I could get the bundle was by gifting it from another account and I again was charged full price.. So it’s still not perfect, but at least much better than it was:)

Yay! I finally finished it!

Here’s Venus!
It’s just another classy fashion model avi, I think everyone who loves Alexandra should like this one as well

Create mode is still giving me crap, so it comes with 42regular poses and 18 idle ones, so a total of 60 different poses. I would like to add 10 more poses to it, as S trigger feels kinda missing..
I don’t know if it’s possible right now.. the action tab is extremely laggy, I know for sure it can’t handle a bigger avatar (like Alex or Victoria which had around 300triggers) since it just won’t even load.. Venus has 150 but it still does open after a long wait..
I did some research on the issue, staff is aware of it, but as I understand, fixing it is not a big priority for them.
But well, maybe a miracle will happen and they might actually redesign the action tab which is a huge pain to work with. So we’ll see about updates..
Anyways, the bundle is already available as well..

Also she has a dedicated badge.. so feel free to request it:

http://venus.sinimvu.com/badge.php
There will be a tall version, but I need to get some time away from creating as lately it’s literally been 24/7 so i’m very tired.. but excited to finally release the avi:D Hope everyone likes her:)

Say, you derived from a mesh that was stolen.
It’s not your fault, but it happened.
Here’s how you can replace your product with the properly derived one.
This technique can also be used if you derived from a mesh recolor and would like to bypass an extra person in the chain and derive directly from the original mesher.
Say, that..
Sinderella is an original creator of this platform shoe mesh:
pid: 10494378
Product name: [SIN] BentHeelPlatforms2

VictoriAvatar has stole the mesh by breaking the derivation chain or by any other means
pid: 11180862
Name: ))*SEXY hot plats*(*!!@(

xSinderella is a dev who derived off VictoriaAvatar’s mesh not knowing that it was stolen, so that would be you.
pid: 11181020
Name: |SIN| Zebra print platf.

As you can see, xSinderella’s product is derived from VictoriAvatar’s product

To make the original mesh a parent, first you need to derive from the original mesh..

Load the textures of a product that you want to replace…

Save and click Upload

In the Product Submission screen click 8 Product Override

Now copy and paste the product ID of your product, in our case it’s 11181020

Please note that you will have to pay the submission fee again.
“If your new product derives from a different product than what you originally derived, you will have to pay derivation fees to all of the new Creators in the derivation chain.”
Click Submit. Now the product is derived from the original mesh without stolen mesh appearing in the chain:

You can learn more about Product Override in IMVU education center:
http://www.imvu.com/creators/education_center.php?tutorial_id=8743322
Also, if you don’t have any sales you can override the product with any other product you wish. Even if you do have sales, you still can change it to a completely different product even though that’s not the most ethical thing to do..
Personal remarks:
Overriding existing product is just a suggestion and I will not cover the submission costs for products that were supposed to be derived from my meshes.
If you don’t take an action a dmca claim will be filed against your product and it will eventually be taken away, note that you lost the submission fee the moment you derived from the stolen mesh.
To avoid similar situations of the future, always check if the developer you are deriving from is a reliable one.
- Check the derivation chain of the derivable. If it’s, for example, a bracelet derived from a skintone, then it’s a sign that there’s something fishy going on..
- Watch out for developers with really odd names that are a collection of very random numbers/letters, also watch out for majorly misspelled product titles/descriptions.
- Check the manufacturer ID in the dev’s catalog URL, newly registered users will have bigger numbers, older accounts have been around for longer and are less likely to cheat.
- Check the product catalog number, the lower it is, the older the product is, the less chances that it might get taken down
- If the price is too good to be true, often it really is
Of course there are always some exceptions, but these are just some things I noticed

okay, lets cover the good stuff first…

I’ve made another avatar, it’s quite different from the others. Her name is Veronica, she’s rather a shy/cute/emo/scene type. She comes with 40 poses including idle ones, so the price is much lower. But like my other avis she does have a unique base look. So you’re still getting new eyes, head, outfit and I’m also very excited about the fact that she comes with a fab skintone made by ScarletSyn which is basically one of my fav skins like period:D
There is also a bundle with a posepack and separate parts as well:)
Why I stopped accepting friends, why I won’t make short versions of V & A + a few more rants.
So I’ve been on a hiatus for pretty obvious reasons. When they shut down the previewer and replaced it with the biggest epic fail in the universe aka Create Mode I felt too disgusted to even come to this site for a while, let alone try and make that broken piece of software work.
When they announced CM replacing the previewer it was crashing literally every 10 seconds (or less) so I had no idea how that would work out, but I remembered seeing a staff member saying that it would still be possible to create with previewer just not submit, so I tried not to stress myself too much over all that.
But when they actually disabled login in the Previewer so it was unusable AT ALL, I just knew I had to wait it out and come back when CM is at least remotely functional. Looks like over 2 months still wasn’t enough.
When it comes to creating avatars CM is TRULY dreadful. Say if I didn’t have a lite Victoria CFL to start out with, Veronica would’ve come with some weird bugs I just had absolutely no way to fix. There’s no way to add or remove any controls in idle poses, staff innocently calls it a ‘bug’, but in my understanding it’s way beyond that. A bug is say when you press f11 and can’t quit the fullscreen mode, so the next time if you want to switch tabs you just don’t enter it. Now issue with CM is not a bug it’s more like a dysfunction. Of course it’s still full of bugs too, every thread in CM forum is about some sorta problem with it. They must’ve waited at least a year with pushing this ridiculous change
Now the other thing with CM is a really, REALLY dumb interface. I have a feeling it was designed by someone who hasn’t even a remote idea about creating on IMVU.
My biggest problem with it is the idiotic horizontal scrolls. It may be okay for ‘meshes’ tab because most clothing products will include 1-4 mesh parts, even 10 would be rare, so basically hardly any scrolling is needed anyways. Well the thing is that they use the same scroll ‘system’ for the action tabs.

Now when it comes to actions, there are many products that include a ton of them, like you know.. my avatars come with 100 poses and have around 300 triggers, so basically navigating through a product like that gets basically impossible plus it gets really laggy…my computer isn’t ancient, but even with rather light veronica avatar I had a feeling the stupid thing is about to crash on me.
so yeah.. making another 300trigger product like that with CM would be either impossible or verrrry frustrating and time consuming. I once tried just opening Victoria and the action tab just wouldn’t load at all.. so yea. all that means that I won’t be making any more heights for Victoria and Alex not just because I’m lazy but because it’s basically not possible right now. of course I wouldn’t dare edit them too so obv there won’t be any updates/upgrades to the existing versions as well, everything stays as is.
I wanted to make at least 1 more premium avatar, but looks like right now I’m stuck with just more basic editions…
I’ve also stopped accepting friends because of client lagginess too. I used to add back everyone, just to be nice I guess? now I have 900 people on my list. I’m pretty positive lots of friends/things in the inventory contribute to client retardedness, so I need to keep it as light as possible for the CM to work. So please don’t take it close to heart if I don’t accept your request, 99 of the time I’m creating anyways, imvu chat doesn’t work for me, last time I tried I got a black screen, so yeah. that’s all and even more that I wanted to cover lol
xoxo,

Well, finally tall version of one of my avatars is released!
So here comes Tall Alexandra..

decided to mix it up a bit so this one has raven hair instead of blond
http://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=7776340
There will also be a Tall Alex bundle too.. once everything passes the PR..
http://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=8093107
I most probably won’t be making any more sizes.. so no short/huge/gigantic.. When it comes to taller sizes, I really hate the stretching on the joints .. even tall avatars have it which bugs me, but there’s nothing to be done about it.. don’t think avatars were designed to support different heights in the first place..and on bigger sizes it starts looking too creepy. And as for short avis.. well they end up kinda midgety-looking, no offense lol if it was possible to make them leaner and shorter, sure i wouldn’t mind making a cute short avatar… but with things being as they are I’ll stick to just regular and tall.
As for Tall Victoria, she’ll be next.. probably it will take a while because I want to redo some things, add some new poses etc. So since i’m still not able to edit the original, at least the tall version will be a final one… soo stay tuned:]

Well, the meaning behind the white cat is basically that it’s rare and exclusive. Say, if you see a product with my logo made in white, it means that’s its an exclusive not really available for sale..
Same goes for my new white kitty badge…

Made it just for special friends, devs and customers and its not available for request, sorry.
But.. I’m doing a series of mini giveaways of some of the products that are not as easy to get. Every 3 days or so I will give away 10 of those, so for a start it will be Victoria eyes as a separate. Made them for personal use as I like wearing them with avatars different than Victoria, so if you like these eyes, here’s your chance to own them:

Good luck!:D

Finally it’s finished!!!
Well, meet Alexandra, the genuine top model avatar.

Yep, like I said, I know, there are plenty of ‘supermodel’ avatars out there, yet there are rarely truly ‘modelesque’ ones. So I just wanted to create one with some classy poses that are not so in your face sexy. I guess this one is different from Victoria, V had a big variety of poses to suit pretty much any taste, Alexandra would not be the best ‘starter’ avatar and may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but guess ones who are into this posing style will really appreciate her.
There are 90 poses + 18 idles, 1 of which is a repeat, the rest are made from the scratch. Most of the poses are just standing modeling poses, but there are triggers dedicated to just sitting and ‘on the floor’ type of poses. There are only 50 expressions which means that some expressions will repeat. for some reason expressions take up alot of kbs, more than the poses do, so I did that to keep the size down..
Alot of poses were inspired by pictures in high-end fashion magazines, so don’t be surprised if you see a familiar pose in vogue or sth lol poses are not copyrightable btw so i’m not in trouble:P on most part i do come up with the poses myself, it’s just wanted this avi to be as authentic as possible.. still there are plenty of poses I made using my own pix as reference as well.
As for the bundle, it will be coming asap, I just wanted to have the avatar out already, so please keep in mind that if you buy an avatar and then a bundle, you will get charged for the avi again. so if you want a bundle, don’t get the avatar yet.
And by the way i haven’t fully decided what to include in the bundle, so if you have a request, let me know.
There will definitely be a lite version of the avatar, pose pack, probably the head. now not sure what else to include, the hair is very low on detail as i tried to stay within reasonable amount of polys, so i’m thinking of leaving it aside, other ideas would be the outfit, eyes, hands. not sure if any of that is that necessary, as i want to keep the price and cluttering ppls inventories down
Alexandra is also a bit taller, due to longer legs.. That’s something I wouldn’t normally do, but I felt like some of the poses really needed that.. I would love to make tall versions of my avatars.. once i figure out the easy way of turning a ‘regular’ pose into tall one.. so far i haven’t been completely successful, so i’m guessing tall versions won’t be coming too soon:/
Don’t forget to grab the bling, made one just for the owners though. I know it would make more sense to not make it requestable and grant the badge to those who actually own the avatar, but there would be no way of making this process automatic and there’s no way i could keep up with this manually, so it’s just available on the product page..
Well, I guess enough with the creator notes and everything… hope you like her!:P

Well thought I might at least show it off here, since it looks like i wasted my time on nothing. I know alot of people seemed to think it was a waste of money, buuut i just wanted to have my own giftwrap at least just this once. But it got rejected.
This is what it would look like with a gift icon in it

“Thank you for your gift wrap entry. We received a high volume of selections but unfortunately had to choose only a small amount to add to this season’s choices. Though we appreciate your entry, it was not selected. Please see below for possible reasons why it was not chosen:
–Incorrect image size or dimensions
–Incompatible image file type
–Submitted after the September 15th deadline
–Copyrighted image used”
*sigh*
Well I didn’t mess up with file properties, submitted a few days before the deadline and I wouldn’t use copyrighted graphics, not that stupid. Royalty free stock, yes i did, and it was *heavily* edited.. it’s a shame they selected just 13 now there isn’t much to choose from. This could’ve been a great idea and a nice credit sink, but imvu managed to mess up even that:/

(I wrote this over two weeks ago before I got sick and left for a vacation once I got better.. So I haven’t been around much lately.. but I’m hoping to finish this avi asap now)
Well.. just to let you know that the new avi is like 97% done at this point.. can’t tell her name yet (and yes, i do have a reason:P) but well, like i said before she will be a ‘top model’ avatar..well there are alot of ‘model’ avis out there.. but i’d say this one will have the poses that you actually get to see in high end fashion magazines.. so i think she’ll be great for clothing modeling n stuff like that. the poses won’t be divided by mood this time, but there will be poses grouped by theme.. like against the wall, on the floor, hands to face kinda poses etc
there will be 90 poses + 18 idle ones, I believe 17 of which are unique..
her height is kinda weird.. some poses just didn’t work as great with standard legs, so i made them tad longer.. so she’ll be standard height yet just a bit taller.. i do hope to make tall versions of my avis if i ever get to figure out the easy way to do it..
she’ll also come with smaller feet and hands..well hands are rather standard yet ‘slimmer’ so layerable stuff won’t look *way* off on them..
as for when its gonna be released.. heh, it could be pretty soon, it’s just i’m going on a vacation..so to say for a week, so i doubt i could finish the layouts n stuff before i leave..
And here’s a small preview of the poses…

1. Alot of you are probably wondering what’s happening to Victoria and why there haven’t been any updates in such a long time. Well, unfortunately, not much has changed since the last news I posted about it. Due to some glitch I can’t edit ANYTHING in this product, let alone reupload the file.
Months ago when this happened I started looking for solutions on the forum, did find a thread about it. nobody really knew what that was, but it was mentioned that somebody else had the same issue and it had to be fixed by imvu staff…
So I opened a ticket.. after a month of waiting I actually got a reply. What they suggested is copy and paste the file path and insert it into the field. yeah.
So I opened another ticket. I got a reply faster, and they said they’d forward it to tech department. Well this was the last time I heard from them. Then something weird happened to the ticket, it said it needed my response while there was nothing to respond to. and basically it got closed eventually..
Then I got contacted by the staff regarding a different issue, but I did mention my problems with Victoria, so it got forwarded to Matt. It was supernice of him to try and help me, you know how busy he is.. I asked him to try to edit it for me and see if it works for him, and it actually didn’t work for him too.:/
So looks like I’ll just have to wait until the creator mode is around. The submissions will be handled by the client not the browser so I’m just hoping (perhaps naively) that the problem will go away. but i guess we’ll just gonna wait and see.. i honestly have tried EVERYTHING, every browser, every computer and my iphone. nothing works
2. So well, a better news is that I have started working on the new avatar! I’d say she’ll be different from Victoria, this one is a bit more one-dimentional.. i think she’ll be a great avi for devs and clothing modeling.. and all the true fashionistas will just love it.. aand thats all the info i’m willing to share as for now:P
Of course i’m not going to do the whole ‘update’ thing this time, so i’m hoping to include more poses right from the start, so i guess she’ll take quite a while..
3. I got interviewed by WarbleBunny. She has a blog where she posts her interviews with developers.. so check it out?
